The Ag Pond at Stephen F. Austin University in Historic Nacogdoches

With walking and bike trails, bridges and fishing pier, the Ag Pond is a popular and scenic recreational site for both townspeople and students of Stephen F. Austin State University. The pond, complete with fountain, spillway, weeping willows, and a variety of resident ducks, is situated in the northern district of the campus between Homer Bryce Stadium and an area of multistoried residential halls which are connected to the elaborate parks and botanical system that includes the SFA Arboretum, Mize Azalea Gardens, and the 2 mile long Lanana Creek Trail. Stephen F. Austin University's superior educational programs, distinguished administration and faculty, and campus of attractive classical and diverse modern architectures situated in a beautiful woodland setting of tall pine trees and extensively developed gardens make it an exceptional place for a student to pursue a college education.
